Christchurch Search Marketing Social - November 2025
Two hours at Craft Embassy disappeared into the kind of conversation that reminds you why these meetups matter. No agenda, no slides - just open discussion about how much the search marketing landscape has shifted.
Someone noted that twelve months ago, we simply weren't having these conversations. Now AI sits at the centre of nearly everything. We covered AI-generated music climbing the charts and how platforms like Shopify are monetising non-artist tracks. The practical questions followed: how do you navigate AI at work when your unique content and data is your greatest competitive asset? Is it acceptable to use AI for writing emails to colleagues? The "AI bubble" debate surfaced too - whether the current stock boom represents genuine long-term opportunity or something more precarious.
We also spent time on what's happening to Christchurch's marketing networking scene. Some events have stopped, others have new organisers, several have moved online. The ones still running face algorithm challenges - invites aren't reaching the community the way they used to.
We're not immune to this either, which is why we've expanded where we publish our events.
